Parisian producer and DJ Naajet delivers her debut EP via Community Center this May, entitled ‘Rocket Science’ and comprised of four cosmic house cuts.

Paris-based artist Naajet is the co-founder of the Parisian collective Bande de Filles which helps to put women artist in the spotlight in the electronic music world, and with an unconditional love for cosmic
grooves in the House, Disco, Techno and Breakbeat genres she’s become a key figure in the local scene herself, regularly DJing in the city and in recent years releasing material on Chat Noir in collaboration with Chevals, Beat X Changers and her track Yama on the ‘Banger Service’ VA on Community Center.

Here we see Naajet returning to the Community Center imprint with her debut full length release, across four tracks she explores the vast array of influences taken from House musicover theyears.

Opening track, ‘Take Me There’ employs dreamy keys atop crunchy drums, vocal chops and intertwined melodic chimes. ‘Chic Chicka’ follows and tips the focus over to a hip-house feel via hooky rhymes, bright stab sequences,weighty subs and swinging drums.

‘Pick Another Passenger’ follows next, edging into darker realms courtesy of a menacing bass hook, a robust rhythmic workout and loopy vocal lines. ‘Gettin’ Real Hot’ then rounds out the release, bringing off-kilter drums into focus while bouncy organ hits, breathy voices, gritty bass hits and rounded subs carry the hypnotic groove throughout.
